Continuum – Artist book

Project

In 1933, in Berlin the Nazi regime burned hundreds of thousands of books judged not to conform to the “German spirit”. For the 75th anniversary of this autodafé, the German artist Tanja Leonhardt made a large-scale work “Indiskret”, reproducing on large pieces of silk faces of intellectual women of the time, accompanied by extracts of their writings .

I have photographed the art work with a free interpretation. My intention is to put the photographs in an artist book. Here are some picks of the sketches.
